Cercare di sorprendermi , fa parte della mia natura. Mettersi in gioco, per scherzo o sul serio è una delle mie qualità di modellista. Non mi faccio problemi ne sui modelli, ne sulle scale di riproduzione. L'importante è che il modello che costruirò abbia un particolare che desti la mia attenzione. Con il Chirri della Italeri è stato proprio così. Nel 2010 il Gruppo Modellistico Trentino(l'associazione alla quale appartengo) ha pubblicato il libro :

Nel volume in oggetto, oltre ai vari disegni degli stemmi di reparto, sono contenuti alcuni profili, tra i quali, il soggetto che ho scelto, tra le varianti di questa scatola. In realtà ,le mimetiche offerte sono tutte belle e lasciano un certo imbarazza nella scelta, grazie anche all' ottima qualità di stampa delle decals Cartograf.

Di per se il modello, è il vecchio Supermodel, rivisto e aggiornato. Facile e intuitivo da montare. Carino l'effetto tela ben riprodotto sulle superfici mobili, e con le linee fedeli ai disegni di Ali d'Italia.

Nel costruirlo non ho cercato difetti o altro, ho solo aggiunto un minimo di dettaglio alla cabina di pilotaggio, non lasciandola completamente spoglia, visto che è in bella vista. Quindi, l'assemblaggio è stato piacevole e senza intoppi costruttivi, fino a che non si arriva all'unione dell' ala superiore a quella inferiore, caratteristica comune ai bi plani. Vi confesso che mi ha dato del filo da torcere, costringendomi ad ingegnarmi sul corretto assemblaggio, diverso da quanto suggerito nelle istruzioni. Questo il vero ostacolo.

La colorazione del modello, mi ha creato qualche imbarazzo iniziale nella scelta, risolta poi, grazie al profilo a colori del nostro libro, omaggiando della colorazione adottata. In ogni modo, la scatola offre dei soggetti molto belli e colorati, anche pre bellici con la colorazione in allumino.

Scelta la colorazione, ho scelto i colori.

Grazie al libro " Colori e Schemi della Regia Aeronautica", ho stabilito, per deduzione personale, che i colori adottati dalla FIAT nel 1939, potessero essere:

Giallo Mimetico 1 = FS 34594 = DR.Toffano Puravest Giallo Mimetico 1

Marrone Mimetico 1 = FS 30118 = Gunze H72

Verde Mimetico 1 = FS 34258 = Gunze 80%H312 +20%H24

Grigio Mimetico = FS 36293 = DR.Toffano Puravest Grigio Mimetico

Per diritto di cronaca la gamma offerta da Dr Toffano Puravest copre tutti i colori della Regia Aeronautica. Allora, perché non usare i colori mancanti? Semplice. Non sono stato capace di spruzzare i colori con la duse da 0.2 mm !

Ho provato di tutto, in primis di suo diluente antischiavatura, seguendo alla lettera il rapporto di diluizione, e poi, tutti i diluenti in mio possesso: Tamiya, Gunze, Italeri, alcool, acqua distillata, pura e mescolata con alcol. Niente da fare. Non c'è stato verso di aerografare con la duse del mio Iwata HP-BH. L'unico modo per spruzzare questi colori ed avere un controllo ad aerografo è usare una duse da 0.4 mm e diluente Tamiya. Non ci crederete ma, è stato l'unico consentirmi un 'aerografata pulita, per i due colori di base applicata in due strati leggeri e schiariti con del bianco, per riprodurre l'effetto scala. Per le altre rispettive tinte , i Gunze hanno supplito in maniera eccellente , garantendo il risultato finale che mi ero prefisso. Mi sono servito di una tavolozza di plastica per provare l'andamento della mimetica, rifacendo il tutto un paio di volte fino ad ottenere l'andamento corretto e convincente in scala 1/72. Il modello ora è pronto per ricevere il trasparente lucido e le decals, le quali si sono adatte molto bene , alle superfici complesse del modello, protette a loro volta da successivi strati di vernice lucida e opaca.

Per l'invecchiamento, mi sono servito dei liquidi colorati della Tamiya,i pigmenti in polvere e alla classica pennellata a secco, che ha evidenziato tutte le centine, di al e fusoliera.

A fine lavoro di colorazione ho assemblato le due sezioni dell'ala avendo qualche difficoltà nei punti di riscontro, per l'innesto dei montanti alari, che mi ha costretto a fare delle stuccature difficili per via della loro posizione. Consiglio di chiuderli mediante dei dischetti di plastica a misura e inserire solo dei perni di rame o acciaio , per avere un incollaggio pulito e senza segni di stuccatura, come nel mio caso. A fine lavoro si possono posizionare i tiranti incrociati, da me riprodotti con il filo elastico SBS da 0.2 mm, un lavoretto da farti venire il mal di testa, prima di incominciarlo !

Che dire un modello molto carino che offre delle belle sensazioni solo a tenerlo sul palmo della mano, viste le sue dimensioni.

Try to amaze me , it is part of my nature . Get in the game , as a joke or seriously is one of my skills as a modeler . I have no problems on models it , play it on the stairs . The important thing is that the model that has a particular build that you gave my attention. With the Chirri the Italeri was just like that. The volume in question, in addition to the various drawings of coats of arms of the department, contains some profiles , including the subject I chose, between the versions of this box . In reality, camouflage deals are all nice and leave some puzzles in the choice , thanks to ' excellent print quality of the decals Cartograf .

In itself the model , is the old Supermodel , revised and updated . Intuitive and easy to assemble. Cute canvas well reproduced the effect on control surfaces , and with the lines of Ali faithful to the drawings in Italy.

In the build I have not tried defects or anything, I just added a minimum of detail to the cockpit , not leaving it completely bare , as it is in plain sight. Then , the assembly was pleasant and smoothly constructive , until you get the union of the ' upper to the lower wing , a feature common to the bi plani . I confess that gave me a hard time , forcing me to wits on the correct assembly , other than as suggested in the instructions. So the real obstacle .

The coloring of the model , I created some initial awkwardness in the selection, then resolved , thanks to the color profile of our book , honoring the color adopted. Anyway , the box features of subjects very beautiful and colorful , even pre war with the coloring of aluminum.

Choosing the color , I chose the colors.

Thanks to the book "Colors and Patterns Regia Aeronautica ," I have determined , for personal deduction , that the colors taken from FIAT in 1939 , could be :

Yellow Camouflage 1 = FS = 34594 DR.Toffano Puravest Yellow Camouflage 1

Camouflage Brown = 1 FS = 30118 Gunze H72

Green Camouflage FS 1 = 34258 = 80 % Gunze H312 +20% H24

Grey Camouflage FS = 36293 = DR.Toffano Puravest Grey Camouflage

For the right to report the range offered by Dr Toffano Puravest covers all the colors of the Royal Air Force . So why not use the colors is missing? Simple . I have not been able to spray colors with 0.2 mm choke !

I've tried everything , first of its thinner antischiavatura , following the letter of the dilution ratio , and then, all diluents in my possession : Tamiya , Gunze , Italeri , alcohol, distilled water , pure and mixed with alcohol. Nothing to do . There was no way to airbrush with the choke of my Iwata HP -BH . The only way to spray these colors and have a check to airbrush is to use a choke from 0.4 mm and thinner Tamiya . You will not believe but it was the only one to allow me a ' airbrushed clean, for the two basic colors applied in two layers of light and lightened with white , to reproduce the effect of scale . For other respective colors , Gunze have supplied in an excellent manner , ensuring the end result that I set myself . I used a plastic palette to try out the trend of camouflage , redoing the whole thing a couple of times until you get the correct and convincing performance in 1/72 scale . The model is now ready to receive the glossy transparent and the decals , which are suited very well to the complex surfaces of the model, protected in turn by successive layers of paint gloss and matte .

For the aging , I used Tamiya colored liquid , powder pigments and the classic dry brush , which highlighted all the ribs , and of the fuselage.

At the end of coloring work I assembled the two sections of the wing having some difficulty in hardpoints , to engage the wing struts , which meant I had to make some difficult fillings because of their position . Council to close them using plastic discs to measure and insert only the pins of copper or steel , to have a clean and no signs of bonding grout , as in my case . At the end of work , you can position the rods cross , I played with the elastic thread SBS 0.2 mm , a chore to get you to come the headaches before incominciarlo !

What a very nice model that provides a great feeling just to hold it in the palm of the hand, due to its size .
